The SERVPRO Process: Water Damage Restoration
In this SERVPRO Process video we demonstrate the steps taken to remediate water damage in a residential structure. All situations are slightly different and some require additional measures depending on the source of contamination, materials affected and the construction of the home. This was a one story home, built on a slab and the majority of the flooring was carpeted.
You'll see the water being extracted from the carpet and from the tile flooring in the kitchen. Carpet padding is almost always non-salvageable because it is made of materials that are not suitable for moisture so it was removed while the carpet will be dried out and put back in place. The air-movers strategically placed accelerate the drying process while dehumidifiers regulate the moisture levels in the air, preventing mold growth.
